Hissing Orange Isopods are a large-bodied variety of Armadillo officinalis with warm orange coloration and the ability to roll into a tight ball when disturbed. The species gets its common name from the faint hissing or squeaking sound it can produce.

They prefer a comparatively dry, well-ventilated setup with access to a dedicated moist area. Provide deep leaf litter, decaying wood, calcium, supplemental food, and a clear moisture gradient rather than keeping the entire enclosure damp.
