Crested gecko resting on a dark wood branch

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you ship?

Yep. Geckos ship overnight to a FedEx Ship Center for pickup. Shipping is scheduled around safe weather, so sometimes the dragon has to wait for a better travel day.

Where are you located?

Armor Class Exotics is based in San Antonio, Texas. Local pickup may be available by arrangement.

How do I reserve a gecko?

A gecko is considered reserved once payment or an approved deposit has been received. Until then, they remain available.

Do you offer payment plans?

Sometimes. Payment plans may be available on select geckos. Reach out before purchasing and we can work out the details.

What comes with my gecko?

Each gecko comes with its ACE character profile, available lineage information, and the details you need about that individual animal.

Are the listing photos accurate?

That’s the goal.

Photos are edited for basic things like exposure, white balance, and cropping, but not to turn the gecko into something it isn’t. Crested geckos also fire up and down, so some natural color variation is expected.

Can you guarantee sex?

Only when a gecko is listed as a confirmed male or female. Juveniles may be listed as pore-sexed or unsexed, but early sex estimates are never treated as guarantees.

Will my gecko always look exactly like the photos?

Probably not—and that’s part of raising one.

Crested geckos change as they grow, and firing, pattern, spotting, color, and overall appearance can all develop over time. Listing photos show the gecko as it appears now.

Do you guarantee temperament?

No. They are tiny animals with tiny opinions.

I pay attention to temperament and handling behavior, but every gecko is an individual and behavior can change with age, environment, and circumstance.

What if my gecko takes a while to settle in?

That’s normal. A new enclosure, new smells, new schedule, and an entire shipping adventure can make a gecko act differently for a while. Give them time to settle before judging appetite or behavior too quickly.

What if I can’t keep my gecko anymore?

Get in touch.

Circumstances change. If one of my geckos ever needs to come back, I’m happy to help arrange the return and cover return shipping when needed. I would rather have them come home.

Can I contact you after the sale?

Absolutely. Buying the gecko does not revoke your sending privileges.

Questions about settling in, behavior, feeding, or the animal itself are always welcome.

What are the ACE projects?

Armor Class Exotics currently works with a handful of visual directions, including Moonstone, Mossback, Gold Dust, and Blackbark. They are long-term goals rather than strict morph labels, and each one is built around a different look.

Why the D&D theme?

Because tiny arboreal dragons already felt halfway there.

The fantasy theme gives ACE a little more personality, from project names and character profiles to the occasional terrible DND joke.

Plus DND has been a part of my life for longer than I want to admit.

May your rolls be high and your dragons tiny.
